LISA TSUBOUCHI
Lisa is a Bay Area Native, a professional event planner, floral designer and potter. She has been called a Renaissance Woman by many, and she embraces her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
In clay, she is known for her marbling technique; using two different clays speaks to her mixed race experience. Constantly navigating between East and West, sometimes breaking, sometimes blending, sometimes contrasting, always beautiful. The marbling cannot be recreated, each one is unique and stands alone in time.
Her goal is to create functional beauty with meaning. Whether itβs a wedding, a piece of pottery or a floral arrangement, she is fueled by attention and intention, making her creations memorable and unique. She has been a member of The Pottersβ Studio in Berkeley, CA since 2013. In 2019 she began teaching at the Walnut Creek Center for Community Arts.
Lisa is Founder and Principal Planner at Sachi & Maja, a wedding planning business based in Berkeley, CA. She strives to create meaningful and enjoyable experiences for her clients. The weddings she produces are graceful with a simple and easeful feel. Lisa has been a wedding planner since 2017.
